In April 2021 we welcomed Dan Hardaker as Chief People Officer for Penta. Dan is responsible for our HR team and most importantly for making Penta a great place to work.

Dan’s Heart Has Been With People in Work Environments for Many Years

Dan is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD (UK professional body for HR) and joins us with a wide range of industry experience having recently led the Global Talent Function for Babylon Health and previously worked in HR and organization development roles for Heineken, HSBC, HSBC and O2.

We’re Proud to Have Dan on Board at Penta

Two things attracted Dan to Penta, first of all being based in Berlin a city which he loves to visit gave him the opportunity to relocate from the UK but above that after working for HSBC in the technology function Dan was attracted to a company that strives to make business banking easier.

People at Penta

Dan’s first impressions of Penta have been very positive: “It’s a great company where people are so dedicated to looking after our customers and helping the company to grow. There’s a huge sense of pride across Penta, and it’s really clear that it’s somewhere that people love to work.”

Penta is proud of its appreciative and diverse working culture

During the interview and onboarding process  Dan met lots of Penta people, and he has been impressed with the number of nationalities represented in the company.  He met people from Greece, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, UK, Germany, Austria, Romania, South America and Serbia (and there are even more nationalities represented). This is important to Dan as he is a strong believer in diversity and inclusion in companies. Companies can only truly solve customer problems if they understand customer needs and the best way to do this is to be reflective of its customers. That means being diverse in gender, age, industry experience, LGBTIQA+ representation, ethnicity, disability and all the other characteristics that make us who we are. Dan is looking forward to creating a place to work where everyone can be themselves at work.
